Insomnia
Insomnia is trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, awakening and patterns of non-restorative sleep for at least 3 month duration. Daytime complaints can include felling tired, having low energy, memory loss, difficulty with concentration, higher risk of depressed and anxious mood and irritability. The primary approach to treating insomnia is CBT-I (cognitive behavioral therapy or insomnia). Those struggling with insomnia may also benefit from short-term use of sleep supporting medication approaches along side of CBT-I.
